Rork was a Druid who overhead Quane telling Willa about Veran drawing the snake symbol of The Dead Man in the dirt. He uses this knowledge to make a proclamation in front of the other Druids, despite Veran's warnings. He asks Willa and Quane to join and deny what he says if it is false, but they do not. He continues to press Veran, asking if he is in league with Lokka, and if he took the Roman general, Aulus Plautius to the underworld to meet with the dead of Britannia. Rork then challenges Veran. Rork was to strike first to prove himself as the true Veran, but he merely manages to gash Veran's cheek, failing to kill him. On Veran's first turn to strike, he is successful in beheading Rork, proving himself to be the true Veran.

Rork's body and head were placed on a funeral pyre and cremated, shortly before the Druids split asunder.
